Stairs

Andrew has worked out how to crawl up the stairs. On Sunday Daddy and Mummy watched him make it all the way to the top. This took a lot of energy. The look of accomplishment was quite priceless. However he can now only get as far as the landing as we have put the stair gate up.

Here is a rather blurry photo of him sitting on the landing. The trouble is he doesn't really know how to go back down even the two steps between the lounge and dining area.

Andrew's new Sandpit

Andrew has got to play in his birthday present from Daddy and Mummy a month early. We have got him a sandpit and I (Kathryn) have decided that he can use it early although we have kept most of the set of sandpit toys we got for him to open on his birthday.

Here he is enjoying it for the first time this afternoon.

Plunket and other things

Andrew and I went to visit the Plunket nurse today. Andrew weighs 8.7kg and is 71.5 cm. This is on the 25% line.

We think that the photo problem has been solved so hopefully you will be able to see the cute photos of Andrew below. One of Andrew's favourite place to play at present is in his bookcase. This normally involves taking all his books off the shelf. Watch out if you are coming to visit as there maybe be books in the doorway. He does like to look through the books as well as spread them over the floor.

We forgot the camera when we went to Chch. Aunty Margaret is sending us the ones that were taken. Thanks Aunty Margaret. When we get them then we will post about our trip.

Fire guard

Andrew found something new in the lounge when we returned from Christchurch yesterday. While we were away the new fire guard was fitted. Now we need to get some more wood and we are ready for winter.
